About the CDCSL

The Capital District Church Softball League (CDCSL) is a modified pitch, men’s league offering a balance of fun and fellowship in a competitive environment.
Since 1994, the CDCSL has grown into a league of eighteen to twenty teams representing churches in New York's Capital District area.

Faith Steel Remains Unbeaten
Faith Baptist Steel used four consecutive RBI doubles in the fourth inning to score five runs and go on to defeat Life Church-B, 12-10. Blake Wadsworth hit his second home run of the season, driving in three on the night and winning pitcher Bill Fredericks became the league’s only 5-0 pitcher.

Grace Beats Harvest Grace Fellowship smacked five home runs in the third inning as they defeated Harvest Church, 19-4. Matt Walling, Roger Powers and Jason Rueckert wnet back-to-back-to-back in the decisive inning. For Powers, it was his fourth home run of the season. Brian McAllister allowed only four runs on six hits while striking out one.

Hoosic Tops Temple Three Home Runs accounted for all eight first inning runs as Hoosic Valley Community went on to defeat Temple Baptist, 21-6. Pete Soroka hit two home runs to tie for the league lead with five on the season. Winning pitcher Peter Fazioli improved to 4-1.
